Why sell with us

Craft fair, simplified

3 busy weekends

Your work is in front of eager shoppers across three weekends of November, the heart of the holiday shopping season. You don't even need to be here...

No sweat sales

Snow Farm staffs the galleries, runs the register, and manages checkout. You drop off (or ship) your work; we take care of the rest and cut you a check before the end of the year.

Making is our mission

Snow Farm's share of sales revenue supports the teen summer scholarship fund and other operational expenses — helping new makers make it here.

Good to Know

Frequently asked questions.

What counts as a “second?”

At the Seconds Sale, we define “seconds" as slightly flawed items, excess or retired inventory, experimental work or really any work you are looking to move. We are also clear with our advertising that many firsts are sold at The “Seconds” Sale. We do not accept/display items that are damaged enough as to affect usability eg: a mug which cannot hold water or glass with unfinished, sharp edges. Our shoppers know that they can expect to find high quality handmade items at great prices at The Seconds Sale.

At The Seconds Sale, all retail prices are set by the artist. As a general rule, pieces priced under $100 sell well at The Seconds Sale.

No, there is no minimum or maximum number of items required in order to participate in The Seconds Sale.

Once you have been accepted as a participating artist, you will be given a unique vendor code. We ask that you use label each item that you are submitting to the sale with your vendor code and the retail price. Artists are also asked to provide an inventory sheet (with retail prices) along with their work. Then, you can drop off or ship us your work within the Drop-Off/Delivery Dates (as listed above) and we take it from there!

At The Seconds Sale, work is mostly displayed by inventory type (glass, wood, ceramics etc.) and not always by artist. We do keep most of an artist’s work grouped together in one area (a shelf, a tabletop etc.) but we reserve the right to display work in a way that best suits our galleries and our customers e.g. all mugs may be displayed in one section, rather than by artist.

Artist supplied display items (racks, baskets etc.) are welcome but not required. Snow Farm does have our own display items that are used during the sale, but if you have something that suits your work, you are welcome to provide it. Please label all display items with your vendor code so that they can be easily returned to you at the end of the sale.

Yes! You are welcome to provide supplementary items to support you and your business. We will happily display them/provide them to buyers.

All unsold inventory will be returned to the artists at the end of the sale. We will either pack your unsold items back up for any easy pick-up in early December, or we can ship your unsold items back to you at the end of the sale. If you select shipping, we will deduct the cost of shipping from your proceeds before we issue your check in December. If you do not wish for your unsold items to be returned to you, you can choose to donate any remaining items to Snow Farm to be used at our discretion.
